iRISE ESS is a private, employees-only application published by iRISE India Pvt. Ltd. for the use of its own employees. It is not a consumer service and cannot be used without an employee account issued by iRISE.
This policy explains what personal information the iRISE ESS mobile application handles and why. It applies only to that application.
1. Information we handle
All personal information in the app comes from your employment record with iRISE. The app does not ask for anything unrelated to your employment.
- Your employment record, shown to you in the app: name, photograph, employee code, contact details on file, designation and department, work location, attendance, leave, holidays and company announcements. A reporting manager sees the same categories for their own team members, for approvals only.
- Account and sign-in information, including your employee code and a securely stored password.
- Basic device and security information, so that iRISE can recognise and approve the device your record is opened on, and investigate misuse of an account.
- What you submit: leave, out-duty and attendance-correction applications, and any query you raise in the app.
2. What we do not collect
- No location. The app never requests or collects your location, in the foreground or the background.
- No camera, photos, media or files. The app has no camera or gallery feature, and media and storage permissions are not included in the app.
- No contacts, call logs, SMS or microphone.
- No advertising and no tracking. The app contains no ads, no advertising identifier and no third party analytics.
- No biometric data. Fingerprint or face data on your phone stays on your phone and is never read or transmitted by the app.
- We never sell or rent personal information and never use it for advertising or marketing.
3. How the information is used
- To sign you in and keep your session secure
- To show you your own attendance, leave, holidays and employment details
- To accept your applications and route them to the right approver
- To let a reporting manager act on requests raised by their team
- To publish company announcements
- To keep the records required by the employment relationship and by applicable Indian law
The basis for this processing is your employment with iRISE India Pvt. Ltd. and our obligations as your employer.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. It is available only to:
- You, for your own record
- Your reporting manager and the relevant internal teams of iRISE, to the extent their role requires
- Providers that host or carry the service, strictly on our instructions. The app is distributed through Google Play, which handles the download under Google's own privacy policy.
- Authorities, auditors or courts, where required by Indian law or valid legal process
Application data is held under the control of iRISE India Pvt. Ltd. and is not passed to any third party for their own purposes.
5. Security
Information sent between the app and our systems is encrypted in transit, passwords are never stored in a readable form, and a device must be approved by iRISE before it can open an employment record. Access is restricted by role. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we maintain safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of employment data.
6. Retention
- Employment records are kept during your employment and afterwards for the period required by Indian statutory, tax and labour rules.
- Device and session records are removed when the device is de-registered or blocked, or when you sign out.
- App data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.
7. Your rights and data deletion
As an iRISE employee you may ask to see the personal information held about you, ask for a correction where it is wrong, or ask for your app account to be deleted. Employment master data is maintained by HR and cannot be edited directly in the app.
To delete your account, email it@iriseindia.com from your registered email address with the subject "ESS account deletion request" and your employee code.
Your sign-in account and registered devices are deleted, which permanently ends access to the app. Underlying employment records are retained for the period Indian law requires an employer to preserve them, and are then disposed of securely. We respond to requests within 30 days.
8. Children's privacy
iRISE ESS is intended solely for employees of iRISE India Pvt. Ltd. who are of legal working age. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18 years of age.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes or when the law requires. The revised version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date, and employees will be told of any material change.
